we had a big blowup friday and she was carted off for domestic abuse. it was a bullshit charge and was blown way out of proportion. we were both at fault and alot of stress was built up from her cancer and her mom recently had a heart attack and had bypass surgery. anyway she spent 72 hrs in jail and came home sunday afternoon and has court today. i wrote a letter in hopes the judge will excuse this. well she is mad cause she found out i rented a porno on direct tv an hour after she left...was i wrong? thats our dilemma right now. i say no. i stayed home all weekend,looked after the kids, and had to wait til she got released. to me as a guy its no big deal but i guess to a woman its different. she actually wanted me to write this on here as she knows i'm on here alot and wanted to see what other married guys would have done in this situation.
Because you were in a fight...obviously...you were still pissed at everything. I think the fact that it was only an hour later it works in your favour. Because the remorse and guilt hadn't set in yet.
Don't act like it's nothing because obviously she's pissed so it was something in her mind.
Acknowledge it wasn't right (regardless of what you think)
Blame it on a quick judgement from being pissed.
You did it to try to calm down or get your mind off the whole situation because you were still filled with anger at the situation.
It felt like a waste of 7.50 or what ever they charge for a porn...because after the anger went away the guilt and remorse set in.
This should get you through the troubles here but really I think with all the stress you guys are going through you might want to go see a counsellor...not a shrink...
You both are stressed out of you minds, it might be good to learn some positive ways that you can help each other deal with the stress....instead of fighting and having a repeat of what happened.

I might of done the same, but I think it's wrong. It's kindsa like as soon as your wife is gone you do something taboo. I'm sure you never intended for her to find out. It might not be wrong if your not getting sex from the wife, we all have needs. It's complicated but if you like porn either watch it with wife, have her permission to watch it alone, or don't let her find out your watching it alone. Really need more details. But if your sex life with wife is inactive than thats the problem, renting porn isn't the problem especially if this was a one time deal.

I could hardly imagine myself having the slightest interest in porn if my girlfriend/wife would be taken to jail....even after a big fight.
